When do I need to book my cake?

The earlier you book the better, as dates get booked up very quickly. We take bookings for cakes up to 2 years in advance but don’t worry if you think you’ve left it too late; subject to availability we can fulfil short notice orders.  A £50.00 deposit (non refundable) is required to secure your date and once this has been received then your date is secure.

Do you accommodate food allergies?

Yes, we can accomodate food allergies such as nut free, gluten free, dairy free and diabetics. You can be assured that only the best ingredients are used, and that your cake will be baked as near to your event as possible to ensure maximum freshness (except rich fruit cakes which are baked 4-8 weeks in advance to allow the cake to mature).

How do I store my cake?

All cakes should be stored at room temperature in it's original cake box and out of direct sunlight on a flat stable surface; please do not store your cake in a fridge, cellar or cold place as this will cause damage to the icing and sugar decorations. Sponge cakes are best consumed with 5 days of delivery/collection. Most fruitcakes will last for several months, and if you want to keep part of your fruit cake we recommend that the cake is stripped of the icing and marzipan before being wrapped in cling film and foil then frozen.

Can I have fresh flowers on my wedding cake?

Fresh flowers and foliage can be used on your cake, however due to the toxicity of some of these it is best to check with your florist that the flowers you want to use do not fall into this category.  However should any illness or event arise relating to the use of these we can not be held responsible.  As an alternative beautiful sugar flower sprays can be made or realistic artificial flowers can be used which can look quite stunning and can then be kept as a momentum of your special occasion.
